Richard Holst joined PHH-PC in May 1994 as a Reservoir Engineer and was appointed to Vice President in October 2006. He currently manages local projects and oversees all software training operations of the company. Since 2001, Richard has taught numerous workshops in integrated gas surface network/reservoir simulation using GASMOD, PHH Engineering's proprietary gas reservoir/network simulator.
Richard specializes in the modelling of large gas reservoirs with complex gathering systems. In addition to performing numerous gas studies, he has provided continuous support to clients on how to properly model their gas fields and ultimately find the most attractive exploitation plans. Richard has also been involved with the preparation and tuning of black-oil simulation models, to determine reserves and optimum depletion strategies. He worked on two black-oil simulation studies in Tripoli, Libya, while on rotation in 2002.
Richard holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (1994) from the University of Calgary. He is a member of APEGGA and SPE, and has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
